Headding south, we leave Blajan.
Like birds it is time to go to leave this tranquil sleepy village Blajan. The weathered crumbling buildings are everywhere their past glory reflecting better times long ago, I stand and watch closed shops and small bars they dot the landscape village after village. Some even look abandon rows of homes empty shutters closed families gone, never to return I think, but what do I know.
Church bells ringing I can see slate steeples on every hill-top Church after Church in every direction, the popular trees bare, the seasons are changing the bright vivid greens that covered the small winding roads hiding those huge red tiled barns, those warm long summer days have grown short. I could not help thinking about those poor African cows we have seen running through thorny bare rocky ground the dust bellowing from their hove’s skin and bone trying to eat 4’’ prickly thorns, a far cry from these huge French cows which eat that lush French green grass the constant smell of organic decay nourishing the earth, those French cows lick their lips their long black tongues constantly rotating around their mouths munching and munching day and night…..they are in heaven I thought they are really in heaven….those poor African cows they would never believe this.

Robin Hood land
Hi All,
Hope this email finds you both well as it leaves us not far from Sherwood forest. We had a long flight door to door (Isle of Man) of 37hrs and we are not that eager to get on another plane any time soon. The buggy fired up first turn so all good there but the trimmer had made the new hood 85mm to small!! Not sure what it would have been like if we had not given him the original to copy from!! With a bit of re- engineering I was able to cut down the centre and add another piece of vinyl so not so bad in the end. No need to change the clutch as I found the master cylinder had amazingly started to introduce small amounts of air over along period of time which made the clutch slowly get spongy. Anyway no need to remove engine and the gearbox is performing better than ever, phew. We are still not sure which route we will be taking but as our passports have been sent off we can only wait and see what happens and when we get them back we will make some decision. In the meantime we also needed to update our International driving permit and renew our UK driving License, plus our passage de carnet the paperwork never ends. …..Africa or Canada??
We left our friends in the Isle of Man and it was sad to leave such a lovely place Jacky and Pat had looked after Victor for 7mths and really did help us start the next leg. Thanks very much Pat and Jacky for looking after us and Pats wonderful shed, without it an almost impossible task. Having to re-pack and repair the rear wheel bearing spacer thanks to Graham who with his 20 plus years of teaching woodwork and metalwork produced a magnificent polished spacer the correct size. Thanks Graham it was a real pleasure to make friends with you and your old Land Rover. Thanks also to Sue and Nick for a second wonderful invitation to a great evening meal and much discussion and laughter with Chris and Dave who had arrived back to the Island just in time to see them once again… we hope to see you all downunder one day soon… Good sailing with your new boat Nick. We are currently at base camp Sherwood Forest with Dicko and Sarah our amazing Hells Angel friends were almost anything is possible with Sarah organising skills as she organises some of the biggest motorbike gatherings in Europe…… sorry it is the biggest motorbike event in Europe…….. The Bulldog Bash….
Please all keep in touch we look forward to all your emails.
Love to all

Iceland and more
Hi all,
Hope you guys are all well as it leaves us in Aberdeen Scotland. Yes we are with friends with a fantastic laptop not our usual camp spot we have 240v power lights bath we have arrived to a spot of civilization so here goes.
It was a fantastic journey through Norway with lots of great wild camping far from the maddening crowd. We opted not to do the Nordcap with most plastic campers heading there for the midnight sun…you can see this much further south and the cost to get to this rip off attraction was not on our agenda. So heading north we decided to go to Grense Jakohselv near the Norway/Russian boarder great place for fishing. Also heading past Varde and onto Humningberg a small uninhabited village where a J/Bond movie was to be made… most interesting geology. Heading down south after surviving the quite a cold spell hoping to catch some warmer weather as camping for 5 weeks in sub attic of latitudes 700 plus north we are frosted out. Our buggy is running fine but the brakes are slowly getting worse and I am on the last set of pads and now looking at the old units I kept for spares as they seem to have more pad left!!
Down to Bergen we trot Narvak, Alta, Tromso and Lofoten all great spots Trondheim is a smashing spot and recommended to all.

Morocco and Europe
Hi everybody sorry for our lack of communication but that is how we are – internet poor!
It has been an amazing trip to date with so many fantastic people and so many humbling experiences. This email will not make sense to everybody and only a few place names are added, but I hope many will remember us and that this email brings back some memories. So to bring you up to date with where we are and how we arrived… here goes.
Elayne has really put up with some ruff and rugged weather as we decided to head north from our warm and sandy expedition around Morocco and the atlas ranges. The sandy Sahara was just the place for the buggy with endless dunes and sand so very soft it was also difficult in some places.
